The wine market is in the doldrums. In 2018, sales amounted to €4.2 billion (-0.6%), and 908.7 million litres were sold (-3.7%), of which:
o 442 ML of red wines (-6.6%)
o 300.2 ML of rosés (-0.2%)
o 166.5 ML of white wines (-1.8%)
While quantities sold are down, the average price per bottle is up 3.24%, to €4.63.

According to Xerfi, sales in the vegetarian/vegan market reached €380 million in 2018, up 24%. Xerfi predicts that the market will continue to grow by 17% YOY between 2019 and 2021, to more than €600 million.

o IGD’s six trends for the supermarket of the future:
